Help us support the betterment and youth of our community

Optimist Clubs are dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids, in their communities, and in Themselves" and do their part through community service programs. Since each Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their area in the best way possible. Optimist Clubs see a need in their community and react to it.

For over 87 years our Optimist Club has maintained its commitment to the youth and the betterment of our community by forming new clubs to address the growing need. Today several other Optimist Clubs serve our community with more than 200 members. But with today's busier-than-ever schedules, and people moving around, we're in need of a handful of new members who would like to step in and give us a hand.

What can you do as a Optimist member?
    - You can help us with our Oratorical Contest by taking a leadership position and/or becoming a coach to work with our eighth-grade students at Alexander Graham Middle School.
    - You can help with the Salvation Army Center of Hope dinner.
    - You can help organize our Respect for law and youth appreciation programs.
    - You can help us organize a Junior optimist Club.
    - You can help us raise funds for our Golf tournament
    - You can become a member of the Board and provide new direction and oversight of the Club’s activities.
    - You can help launch new programs for kids.
    - You can take a leadership role in our District activities.
    - You can enjoy many interesting speakers and the camraraderie of other Optimists at our twice a month lunch get-togethers on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
